Welcome to Girls Love Graphic Novels, a blog created by two ladies that love their graphic novels.
Kristen is an Elementary School Librarian who runs a YA/MG book blog called Bookworming in the 21st Century. She has been in love with graphic novels since the age of 19, when she took a class on mythology and fairy tales that introduced her to the graphic novel series Fables by Bill Willingham. Kristen reads a wide variety of graphic novels, including some manga. Of course, like her usual reading tastes she steers towards fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal before anything other genre.

Kate is the infamous bookworm in charge of the marvelous blog The Neverending Shelf. Her love of manga and anime actually began at the tender age of 11 when she was introduced to the wonder that is Sailor Moon. As the years went by, her tastes in anime and manga only grew. Today, Kate will basically read and watch anything she can get her hands on. Some of her favorite series include: Bleach, Blood +, Fushigi Yugi, Cardcaptor Sakura, Mai Hime, Claymore, Kurau: Phantom Memory, and Rurouni Kenshin.

Alyssa is a self-confessed bookaholic who has been blogging about books at The Shady Glade since 2006. Her introduction to manga started in middle school when she found out two of her favorite TV shows (Sailor Moon and Cardcaptors) started out as books. Since then she’s devoured just about any fantasy-themed manga she can find. Her introduction to graphic novels came several years later, as she participated on the first Graphic Novels Nominating Committee for the Cybils back in 2006. Now she devours all sorts of graphic novels whether manga or not. Some of her most recent favorites include the Babymouse books, Rapunzel’s Revenge, The Crogan Adventures, Nightschool, Manga Shakespeare, Magic Knight Rayearth, and many others (although she still has a special place on her shelf for her well-read copies of Sailor Moon).

Tiger Holland is a 24-year-old book reviewer with a masters degree in Creative Writing. In college, she ran a manga library from her dorm room with more volumes than she will openly admit to owning. She runs All-Consuming Books, a YA/eclectic blog, and though her first love is manga, she's branching out into American comics and graphic novel adaptations of classic novels. She'll read anything created by Matsuri Hino, Arina Tanemura, or Natsuki Takaya.
