Genres That We Enjoy
Kate:
As part of Girls Love Graphic Novels, my main focus is manga and anime. While I do occasionally read a graphic novel, manga and anime is my main focus for Girls Love Graphic Novels. I am partial to titles with action, adventure, science fiction / fantasy, mecha, and shoujo, just to name a few. Some of my all time favorite manga / anime includes: Bleach, Blood +, Fushigi Yugi, Cardcaptor Sakura, Mai Hime, Claymore, Kurau: Phantom Memory, and Rurouni Kenshin.
Kristen:
Opposite Kate, my main focus is graphic novels. While I read some manga and watch some anime, I'm geared towards reading graphic novels for Girls Love Graphic Novels. I am in favor of titles that contain some sort of science fiction/fantasy elements, along with action/adventure. Some of my favorite graphic novels include Fables by Bill Willingham, Gloomcookie by Serena Valentino, Castle Waiting by Linda Medley, and Artemis Fowl the Graphic Novels by Eoin Colfer.
Novel Formats:
Generally, we prefer to have a print copy of a review title. However, we are open to accepting e-books and pdfs.
What Happens When We Accept an Anime / Novel To Review:
It does not guarantee that we will write a review. While we try to only accept books / anime that we believe we will enjoy, we cannot guarantee that the review will be positive. Our job as reviewers is not to sugarcoat our thoughts, but rather give our honest and fair opinion, something we can guarantee we will do.

- Author's Name.
- Release Date.
- Number of Pages.
- A synopsis of the anime / novel.
- Our personal opinion of the book which includes the following categories: Plot, Characters, Graphics, and books we feel are similar.
- Series information.
Author Interviews / Guest Posts:
In addition to reviews, we are always open to having Authors "stopping" by Girls Love Graphic Novels. We love helping to promote authors and their novels in any way that we can. If you are interested in letting us interview you or providing a guest post, please contact us so that we may discuss details.
Ratings:
The only ratings we will be using in reference to our reviews are what level we think these graphic novels and manga are appropriate for. They are as follows:
Suitable for Elementary-Aged readers.
Suitable for Middle Grade-Aged readers.
Suitable for Young Adult readers.
Suitable for Adult readers.
How long will it take for a review:
We tend to read review titles in a 3 month span with Advanced Copies receiving top priority. Generally, the review will be posted the month before, during, or after the book's release. If the title has already been published, please expect a review within 3 months of us receiving the title. However, if the book needs a review posted by a certain date, please let us know so that we may accommodate you.
Bookmarks and Swag:
We will gladly accept any bookmarks/swag that you would be willing to send our way. We promise that your precious babies will find a good home!! If you would be willing to donate, please contact us.
Other Products:
We are always willing to review other products that our readers might enjoy. Especially products that will appeal to teens and adults alike.
